The timetable for implementation of the revised framework and the closure of current programmes was produced after discussions with PQ consortia, as representatives of stakeholders, including candidates, employers and programme providers.
It is based on the expectation that by January 2008, candidates will either:
- successfully complete the award for which they have registered;
- transfer in to the revised framework (e.g. PQ1 certificate as exemption from a Specialist level consolidation module);
- withdraw from the current system.

Final registration for all current awards 31 March 2007
Target date for completion of current PQ consortium work 28 January 2008
Final date for registering award achievement with GSCC 27 September 2008
