Welcome to the South West PQ Website
This site has been specifically designed to bring together in a 'one stop shop' information, guidance and advice about post-qualifying education and training opportunities for social workers in the south-west region.

It is hosted by the Far South West PQ Consortium and has been funded by Skills for Care.

Information on this site will be of interest to prospective students and their employers as well as service users and carers, assessors, mentors and universities and colleges which provide programmes of study at post-qualifying level.
  • This site is divided into eight main sections which are displayed across the top of every page.
  • These main sections contain sub-sections which can be viewed when you enter the main section.
  • In addition, the sub-sections contain related documents which are listed on the right hand side of the page.
The eight main sections of the site are: Home; PQ Framework; Pathways; Continuing Professional Development (CPD); Forums & Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs); Essential Links; News & Events; Service Users & Carers; and Contact.  All sections, sub-sections and the documents within them are listed in the site map which can be accessed by clicking on the link above the South West PQ logo.

News & Events is up-dated daily and the Forums section will be inter-active, providing an opportunity for you to ask questions, seek advice and respond to queries left by others.
There are a host of 'quick links' throughout our pages which will take you direct to the sites of related organisations to provide ready access to more detailed infomation in more depth than would be possible here.

We hope you will find the information that you are looking for quickly and easily!

This is a new venture for us and we would welcome feedback from you on any aspect of the site.  We should be pleased if you would complete the short questionnaire available at this link. The questionnaire is based on the Standard Usability Measurement (SUMI) developed by the Human Factors Research Group at University College, Cork (http://www.wammi.com).  We can then use this feedback to see what we have missed and what could be improved!
